Gathering information about how confident employees feel to share personal information about their disability is probably something most organisations want to find out at some stage or another. Many organisations have an annual employee engagement survey or pulse surveys to determine different aspects of engagement across the business, yet few organisations understand that sharing such deeply personal information is based on the individual’s ability to trust their employer.
Holding a focus group is a great way to gain valuable insight into what may be holding your employees back from their decision to share personal information. Creating a small focus group can tease out a lot of different perceptions and help to understand what disability ERG/Network leaders might encourage the organisation to do differently and in turn, save them time and money in the long run.
