It's all about the impact
In August we focus on the impact that networks / resource groups and ally programmes have on organisations, on individuals, on customers. They provide a solid return on investment. Our members routinely tell us about the benefits:
- Helping colleagues bring their authentic selves to work
- Supporting organisations to create world-class workplace policies
- Building a more ‘sophisticated’ understanding of what it means to live and work with disability / ill health
- Developing an organisation’s ‘brand reputation’ when it comes to delivering ‘customer/stakeholder’ service
Last month we launched our new ERG Global Forum, bringing together multinational members in order to share best practice on delivering high-performing ERGs in different countries across the world. Led by Darren Rowen, Eli Lilly we convened leaders from BAE Systems, Deutsche Bank, European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, Fidelity International, Fujitsu, GSK, HSBC UK, KPMG, Natwest Group, Serco Group PLC, Shell and Unilever. The group will meet four times a year.
In August, we are on the search for quality case studies. We are looking for the first “Purple Pathfinders” – networks / ERGs who know their value, can articulate the benefits they bring and want to share hints and tips for successful delivery. These case studies, together with the launch of our new Impact Working Group on 25th August are part of our new programme of work to support our members to demonstrate the value networks / ERGs and ally programmes bring to organisations across the world.
The Impact Working Group will be chaired by PurpleSpace Founding Ambassador, David Caldwell, Home Office and will oversee the annual “Great Big Impact Survey” to be launched on 1st September.
To round the month up, we invite you to our Peer Group Learning Session. This month we will be focusing on Putting It into Practice: Creating & Maintaining Impact taking place on 27th August at 14:00 (BST).
